Field of research: My research focus has evolved over the years, and I am now passionate about behavioral finance. Behavioral finance intersects psychological theories with financial models to explore how human behavior influences financial decision-making.

What’s so exciting about Behavioral Finance?

What's particularly exciting about my research is its practical application. By delving into the intricacies of human behavior within financial contexts, I aim for my work to not only contribute to academic discourse but also offer insights that can inform real-world investment strategies and corporate decision-making processes. The dynamic nature of financial markets and the ever-evolving landscape of human behavior provide a constant source of fascination and challenge in my research endeavors. Honestly, this is fascinating!

Why did you choose a research career, and not something else?

I decided to pursue a research career due to my inherent curiosity. With a diverse educational background spanning finance, computer science, and commercial engineering, I believe I have unique skill sets that have equipped me to tackle complex research questions from multiple angles. Moreover, my genuine desire to make meaningful contributions to scholarship and practice solidified my commitment to a research-focused career path.

What do you hope students will take away from PREDOC’s offerings?

Through initiatives like the Trendsetters’ program, the Voice series, and the JHBC ShEconomy, I aim to create inclusive spaces where all students, regardless of background, can thrive and excel. By participating in PREDOC, I hope to provide students with valuable opportunities for scholarly and creative engagement, fostering a supportive environment where they can develop essential research skills and cultivate their intellectual curiosity.
