PREDOC hosts this annual conference for prospective pre-docs to learn more about and prepare for pre-doctoral opportunities.  This year's conference will be held remotely over Zoom on Friday, June 9, from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. EDT:

  • 12:00-12:30: Introduction to PREDOC
  • 12:30-1:30: Panel on How to Prepare and Apply to Pre-docs
  • 1:30-1:40: Break
  • 1:40-2:40: Panel on How to Succeed as a Pre-doc
  • 2:40-4:00: Data task review with mentors
  • 4:00-5:00: Virtual career fair

As part of the PRE Workshop, participants may complete a sample data task and receive feedback from mentors.  This year's data task is designed to take about two hours to complete.  It can be completed in R or STATA.  You must submit your completed data task by 5:00 p.m. EDT on Friday, June 2, to be able to participate in the mentor review.  If you do not complete the data task, you may still join one of the mentor review sessions to watch the mentors give feedback to those who have submitted a task.
