PREDOC RA Award Program
Providing awards to researchers to hire Research Assistant support for a project in the quantitative social sciences
With this funding dedicated to creating new research assistantships and supporting faculty research, we’re excited to support the next generation of social science researchers.
PREDOC is excited to announce a call for proposals for its research assistant (RA) award program. The PREDOC RA award program provides awards to faculty, researchers, post-doctoral scholars, and doctoral candidates at institutions of higher education and research to hire RA support for a project in the quantitative social sciences. The program supports the hiring and mentoring of undergraduate RAs at institutions outside their home institution. PREDOC expects to award 10 of these awards, each worth $4,000.
“We’re thankful for the financial support of and time donated by our PREDOC members to make these awards possible,” said Ray Reagans, the Alfred P. Sloan Professor of Management at MIT and chair of PREDOC’s RA committee. “With this funding dedicated to creating new research assistantships and supporting faculty research, we’re excited to support the next generation of social science researchers.”
The PREDOC RA award program is open to research proposals for projects in the quantitative social sciences and welcomes proposals that:
- include clear deliverables that the undergraduate RA will meaningfully contribute to;
- integrate mentorship in the RA experience;
- will deepen the RA’s understanding of research in the quantitative social sciences.
Applications for the RA award program are due via the online portal by December 20 at 11:59 p.m. Please direct any questions about the award to email@example.com. Please view the complete award call here.
