PREDOC is pulling back the veil on the PhD application process.  This summer, PREDOC will host three panels where faculty who serve or have served on PhD Admissions Committees will discuss the PhD application process.  They will answer questions on strategy, statements of purpose, letters of recommendation, and preparation for the PhD.  These sessions will not be recorded; synchronous attendance is mandatory.  There will be three panels:

  • Thursday, July 14, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. CDT, featuring David Rand (MIT), Whitney Newey (MIT), and Jing Dong (Columbia)
  • Wednesday, August 3, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. CDT, featuring Pietro Veronesi (UChicago), Danielle Li (MIT), and Christopher Walters (UC Berkeley)
  • Tuesday, August 23, from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. CDT, featuring Ezra Zuckerman Sivan (MIT), Jeffrey Russell (UChicago), and Derek Rucker (Northwestern)

You must sign up to receive the Zoom information for the panels.  Zoom information will be emailed out to participants shortly before the event.
