- June 08, 2021
Opportunity Insights will be hosting an informational zoom session on Tuesday, June 8 at 2:00 pm EDT directed towards students who are interested in learning more about career paths in the social sciences and in economics more specifically. During the session, we will give a broad overview of what careers in social sciences can look like with a more in-depth look at steps to take during your college years if you’re thinking of a career in economics, including what classes to take and how to find a mentor. We will also talk about OI’s work in particular, and we will follow the presentation with small-group Q&A sessions led by current OI predocs. Students from traditionally underrepresented backgrounds (women, LGBTQ, Black, Indigenous, Latinx, first-generation, and low-income students, among others) are particularly encouraged to attend.
