Introduction to Diversity in Doctoral Education and Scholarship

Application Requirements: transcripts, two essays, and one recommendation from a faculty member, community member, or advisor

IDDEAS (Introduction to Diversity in Doctoral Education and Scholarship) is a two-day immersion program held at MIT. We seek to attract a diverse group of promising undergraduate students and introduce them to business research at the doctoral level.

History of IDDEAS

The IDDEAS program originated at the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania in 2012 to support and encourage student and faculty diversity.

Since then, the program has expanded to IDDEAS@Kellogg/Booth, IDDEAS@Stanford, IDDEAS@MITSloan, and IDDEAS@Berkeley. It is the goal of these IDDEAS programs to expose students to the rich possibilities of careers in research and academia.
